Overview
Using encryption and signing, Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME) certificates ensure message security, confidentiality, and integrity. By encrypting a message using the public certificate of the recipient(s), the sender of an email can be confident that the encrypted message can be read only by the intended recipient(s). And by signing the message, the receiver can verify the integrity and the claimed origin of the message. Sectigo secure email certificates are supported by all major mail applications including Microsoft Outlook, Exchange, popular mobile operating systems, and more. Sectigo secure email certificates can be ordered, managed, and downloaded using the client area of the sectigo.com website.
